London. Director and producer Massimo Romeo Piparo, director of the Teatro Sistina in Rome, will be in London’s West End to co-produce with Global Creatures and under the license of Bazmark by the director Baz Luhrmann; the first theatre version of “Strictly Ballroom” (1992). It’s easy to see that the new theatre production, in which Piparo participates with its brand new PeepArrow Entertainment UK – part of the well-established PeepArrow Entertainment Italia – will be a success. The BBC has in fact taken the “Strictly Come Dancing” format from “Strictly Ballroom” – a film that celebrates ballroom dancing and that became famous all over the world as “Dancing With the Stars” and in Italy as “Ballando con le Stelle”. After his involvement in the West End, a tour in Holland, Belgium, and Germany; Piparo will also bring his Italian version of Luhrmann’s musical to Italy, offering the magical and passionate atmosphere of ballroom dancing with an amazing display in the country’s leading theatres. His international vocation continues with a new important project which Piparo will work on during the coming months: for 2019 he plans to bring “We Will Rock You” to Europe with an original stage set from famous musical featuring Queen’s songs and a great international star in the cast. Not to mention the great return of “Jesus Christ Superstar” to Europe, which is also produced by PeepArrow Entertainment UK in the original version of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The musical, once again performed by Ted Neeley featuring a new cast, started a European tour on March 28th in Amsterdam followed by Sofia, Barcelona, Madrid, and then at the Arena of Verona on August 14th.
