Jan. 31- Four universities, four European countries, and a single degree: this is the European Master in Business Studies (Embs), a two-year degree taught entirely in English, unique in its international harmonization thanks to the collaboration among four different academic systems. The first 21 students to have achieved the joint degree title at the end of their academic path were honored last Friday at the headquarters of the University of Kassel in Germany. The graduation ceremony saw the participation of the representatives of each university: the University of Savoie (France), coordinator of the program; the University of León (Spain): the University of Kassel (Germany); and the University of Trento. On behalf of the University of Trento, the agreement was signed and carried out by the Department of Economics and Management. The Embs degree offers a selected group of students (maximum 30 per year) from different countries the opportunity to study for a period of two years in a multicultural environment. The goal is to train the European managers of tomorrow, capable of: moving in a competitive international environment, feeling comfortable working in a multicultural context, and harnessing their English and other EU languages. To prove the appreciation of the graduates’ profiles on the labor market, it suffices to say that all graduating students have already found employment in various organizations in European countries. “The work of four universities – said Professor Paolo Collini on the sidelines of the ceremony – led to, in terms of internationalization of the curriculum, higher student quality and concrete employment opportunities for graduates. These results exceed even the most optimistic predictions and are a source of great satisfaction for us. The University of Trento is, once again, as a pioneer in the internationalization process at European level.”
