Feb. 7 – Selex ES, a Finmeccanica company, has signed a contract worth approximately € 22 million with the Directorate General of Armaments (Direction de l’Armement Géneral-DGA) of the French Ministry of Defense, for the supply of six PAR2090 fixed version radars. The contract also includes logistical support after the sale. The systems will be supplied to the French Air Force, which already uses 15 similar sets, previously supplied. PAR is an X-band radar designed to assist military aircraft pilots during the approach phase. PAR, available for both naval and land uses, allows precise landings even in adverse weather conditions with low visibility, such as heavy rain, wind, and fog.
