Feb. 15 – Italian notaries were assigned the IT platform management for the digital signatures in Europe, under the agreement signed by =Notartel, the National Council of Notaries’ IT Company, and the Association internationale sans but Lucratif. The deal sees Italian notaries manage the Bartolus platform for the verification and identification of digital signatures at the European level. “This is an important recognition to Italian notaries – said Giovanni Vigneri, from National Council of Notaries and president of Notartel – It is the demonstration that our objective, put forth 20 years ago, has yielded the correct results from the appropriate investments, and this allows us today to be a reference model in security technology in Europe and the world. In fact, through a unique system of interchange in the legal profession, Bartolus allows member countries to operate simultaneously across borders. For this we need to ensure maximum safety, certainty, and reliability of information while guaranteeing the rapid circulation of electronic documents, without forgetting individual rights.”
