Feb. 25 – The company Strega Alberti became part of “Italian Tradition”, the consortium that combines 11 companies to promote the excellence of Italian food abroad, mainly in new markets; the consortium is headquartered in Nola, the largest pole of B2B sales distribution in Europe. The company Strega Alberti was born in Benevento in 1860, when the founder Giuseppe Alberti perfected the recipe for a liqueur made from herbs, choosing a name linked to the myth of the Benevento Witches and legends about their love potions: Strega liqueur. In addition to the famous liqueur, Strega Alberti now produces a wide range of confectionery specialties, among which there are Torroni, the Croquettes, Magie, Nougat bread, Nougat Assorted Tender, and goccioloni. Its products are distributed throughout Italy and are present in more than 50 countries including the U.S., Argentina, Mexico and Australia. The consortium “Italian Tradition” will be presented for the first time abroad during the exhibition “Gulfood” to be held in Dubai from today until February 28. “Gulfood”, which was founded more than 25 years ago, is the largest annual fair in the Middle East for the food and hospitality industry, and it is the first major event of the Italian Agribusiness Consortium abroad.
