May 15 – After Germany, Italy is the second largest exporter of machinery to Turkey. In particular, Italian companies sell equipment for textile and industrial automation, as well as for agriculture and wood processing. Turkey is thus a major market for mechanical engineering and metallurgy Varese companies interested to export and expand in globalized markets. Over the past ten years in Turkey, the mechanics sector has seen growth rates of 20% per year, attracting foreign operators. Hence, the initiative, sponsored by the Department of International Affairs of the Chamber of Commerce of Varese, offers mechanical engineering and metallurgy companies the possibility to hold business meetings with Turkish counterparts during “WIN – World of Industry” (June 5-7). WIN is the international fair of products and services for the industry, it is held in Istanbul.
