May 16 – Estrima, the producing and distributing company of the small electric four-wheel Birò, announces the opening of its first flagship store of the same name in the heart of Amsterdam – in Rozengracht, one of the most characteristic streets of the capital. The store, which will open Thursday, May 23, will have a completely friendly approach: the showroom, a space between the tall, narrow buildings and the maze of the typical channels, also houses a bar area designed for an informal approach; it will also be possible to carry out a test drive on the road. The decision to open an Estrima flagship in Amsterdam stems from the desire to expand into the more receptive cities to eco-mobility – Amsterdam being one of them – where Birò navigates its narrow alleys better than any other vehicle. “Over the last 50 years, the majority of European cities have been transformed to meet the needs of car traffic and pedestrians alike – says Estrima’s president Matteo Maaestri – leaving the latter an increasingly marginal role. If it is true that in recent years many capitals have been attempting to reverse the trend, Amsterdam has never stopped favoring bikes and pedestrian mobility over cars. And today, the city administration has introduced numerous other benefits for the dissemination of electric mobility by placing electric plug columns all over town. For this reason, we believe this market will have a major evolution. Pieter Vermeer, our partner in The Netherlands, represents a young and extremely active reality – in perfect synchronism with Estrima.”
