Sept. 30 – As a result of an agreement signed in Paris with Trenitalia, Amadeus, a premier provider of travel industry services, will manage the sales and distribution in France of the Italian transport company. French travel agencies can now book tickets for the Italian railway company through Amadeus. Travel agents using Amadeus will be able to access Trenitalia and Thello services (long-distance rail services carried out by the Trenitalia – Veolia Transdev, linking Paris Gare Lyon to Venice Santa Lucia and Roma Termini) and make reservations through FlyByRail or Rail Track Agent. Trenitalia’s is thus integrally included on a single platform. “This innovative solution enables travel agencies to select and book more easily and with greater flexibility all Trenitalia products – says a statement from the group – Travelers and agents can now more easily compare Trenitalia services with other opportunities. Customers will now have more choice and more transparency, while travel agencies will increase their productivity.”
