Nov. 7 – “Great contacts and a strong network,” said Franco Morgante of Eat Friuli, one of the entrepreneurs participating in the Friuli Venezia Giulia mission to Canada. Entrepreneurs will be in Toronto, while institutional representatives will be in Ottawa and Montreal. After two intense days of b2b meetings, Friuli participants were satisfied with how their agribusiness network was presented to the Canadian market. Morgante continues, “prospects are good, especially for cold cuts, while cheese imports will be harder to boost, due to the existing quotas. But raising the entry threshold would bring interesting opportunities to many Friuli companies in the industry.” For the furniture sector, Adamo Montina of Tyrol Srl, a company already present in the United States, sees Canada “as a natural continuation of our work in North America. The seven meetings confirms that Canadians in the sector know about Manzano’s reality,” says Montina emphasizing the importance of the support offered by the Italian and Friuli community in Canada.
