Dec. 6 – He was 14 years old when he decided what he would do in life: “the musician and nothing else.” Today, he’s 32 years has become a musician, but still doesn’t behave like a star. Raphael Gualazzi is thoughtful and passionate, shy but irrepressible, and today he is considered one of the purest talents on the international music scene. A real “craftsman of music” with a visceral love for jazz and blues, Gualazzi authored “Follia d’Amore” before seducing half of Europe with the highly successful “Happy Mistake Tour,” which went sold out in London, Paris, Lugano and Monaco. And now, the musician is getting ready to impress Japan. Tonight, he will perform in the jazz club “The 1633 Club” in Tokyo with a live set composed of songs from his latest album, “Happy Mistake.” This is an important milestone for the Urbino-native artist, who is author, composer, arranger and producer of all his songs. Gualazzi, fresh from the success at the Monte Carlo Jazz Festival, continues to impress with his sounds, ranging between jazz and stride -piano, touching also on soul, gospel, country, blues and rock.
