Dec. 13 – During the 11th edition (2012) of the popular talent show on Channel 5 – “Amici” by Maria De Filippi – Giofrè took home the award for the “Dance” category, and since then Giuseppe Giofrè has had all the right dance moves. After finishing his studies at the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles – which he was to attend thanks to the scholarship received from the show – he joined the X-Factor UK dance group, working with the exceptionally talented artistic director, Brian Friedman, the same creative genius behind Britney Spears’ ” Toxic” and “I’m slave 4 u”. Giofrè, born in Calabria in 1993, has reached another milestone in his young career: the dancer will be part of the dance group of the “NRJ Music Awards” in France, a musical event in its 14th edition taking place tomorrow in Cannes. The NRJ Music Awards were created in 2000 by the French radio station NRJ in partnership with the TF1television network. The event takes place in Cannes and stars the most popular musicians in various categories. In time, Giofrè has found another passion: music. A few months ago, the young artist made his musical debut with the EP “Call on Me,” written by D -Nova (an artist based in London who worked on the EP as writer, arranger and co- producer). “Call on Me” contains the single “I got the night”, currently on rotation on radio, and ” Break”, which was released in March and was in third position on the iTunes “Dance” downloads. The EP also contains the song “Call on me”, also available as remixes, where Giofrè talks about dance as a metaphor for life: ” Dancing to express oneself, to escape, to fight, to grow.”
