Dec. 27 – A butterfly’s movement is reminiscent of the brush on a canvas, a dance and many other things. But the dance lasts only for a day, a lifetime. “Farfalle” (“Butterflies”) is a poetic and evocative show for children between 4 and 8 staged by the Italian Tpo in Oslo from February 27 to March 2 at the at Dansens Hus. It will be a sensory theatrical experience, which will recount the existence of a butterfly as an egg, then larva, caterpillar and finally a butterfly with large colorful wings. On stage everything is narrated with the help of music, images and two dancers, Barbara Stimoli and Viola Esposti Ongaro, directed by Francesco Gandi and Davide Venturini. The scene is composed of a white carpet and two large wings. The images are projected on different planes: the horizontal plane of the carpet and the verticality of the slanted wings. The viewers are invited to participate, to get into the scene and be enveloped by the images that react to their movements. The event is organized by Oslo Dansens Hus in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute.
