(Dec 31) – The much-anticipated comeback of Omar Pedrini, singer and guitarist from Brescia, is closer every day, as he gets ready to release a new album, for which he is author of music and lyrics. The album is entitled “Che ci vado a fare a Londra?” (what am I going to do in London?) and is published by Universal. It should be available in stores by the end of January, thus breaking the 8-year break since the artist’s last record, “Pane, burro e medicine.” Meanwhile, in a few days – on January 3 – the first single from the new album will start rotating on radio: Che ci vado a fare a Londra is not only the album title, but also the headlining song, born from Pedrini’s collaboration with Michael Beasley, leader of Manchester band The Folks. The two met in the London Ignition offices, label management for Noel Gallagher, and along with Scott Anderson (The Folks ) have given birth to the rock ballad. The album was recorded in Italy and Manchester and mastered at the Exchange Studios in London by Mike Marsh and Karen Thompson. The English title is simply “London”.
