Apr. 2 – Mexicali, the capital of the Mexican state of Baja California, will host today a concert by the Rosenbach Museum, as the Italian group will be performing at the “Baja Prog Fest.” The presence of the Liguria-native band in Mexico confirms the group as one of the most important and active “prog” groups in Italy. The Rosenbach Museum will perform the best of its repertoire, including the early “Zarathustra” (1973) and the recent “Barbarica” (2013). The group’s successes are all included in their latest album, “Live in Tokyo,” a double CD recorded live at the City Club of Kawasaki during the Italian Progressive Rock Festival of 2013, released on March 4 for Aereostella. Giancarlo Golzi, Stefano “Lupo” Galifi and Alberto Moreno will take the stage alongside old friends, such as PFM, Osanna and Il Castello di Atlante. Their participation at the festival is just one of the many activities taking place in Mexico giving an overview of Italian progressive music. The “Baja Prog Fest” will be a good opportunity to release energy and enthusiasm, and to confront many bands and their styles from around the world. Back together on stage after 40 years, the Rosenbach Museum is proving to be still on top in the studio and in live performances abroad. Their successes will not end here…
