Tokyo – The Regional Vice President and Lombardy Head of Health Care are currently in Tokyo, at the residence of the Italian Ambassador where yesterday, after the celebrations for Italy’s Republic Day, they promoted Expo 2015. The vice president of the Lombardy Region included in the program a visit to Jikei hospital in the district of Shimbashi and the attached Medical University. It is a hospital with more than 1,000 beds specialized in rehabilitation but fully functional for all other medical duties. Professor Takagi accompanied the Lombardy delegation, among whom there was the Regional Head of Health Care, who commented: “It’s a good opportunity to engage in constructive dialogue and a fruitful comparison between two health systems. A collaboration in the health sector between Japan and Italy would complement those already in place in the academic and scientific research.” (9Colonne)
