Washington – Following the celebrations for Italy’s Republic Day at the Italian embassy, the 2.000 participants, including members of the U.S. administration and Congress, of the Italian community, businessmen and diplomats, attended a very particular all-Italian showcase. The guest of honor was Health Minister Beatrice Lorenzin, in the U.S. for a four-day mission to present Exp2015 and its focus on “important issues such as welfare, health and nutrition.” Lorenzin also announced that she suggest introducing in Italy total tax exemption for investment on scientific research, just like in the United States. “Here in America – she said – everyone I’ve met has complimented Italy’s national health service, that costs so little and provides relatively high quality services.” (9Colonne)
