Zhangjiagang – The Stevanato Group of Piombino Dese (Padua), an international leader in the production of insulin vials and glass containers for pharmaceutical use under the Ompi brand, is strengthening its presence in the Far East with the official opening of its new production plant in Zhangjiagang, China. The construction of the new production center saw Stevanato invest €27 million; and it represents an important step in the growth and internationalization strategy of the Group. The Zhangjiagang plant covers an area of 30,000 sqm; and, once it will operate at full capacity, expected for 2016, it will have: 16 production lines equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the production of glass containers and vials, and it will emply 250 qualified workers. The Group expects a further investment of € 13 million to produce vials and glass containers for the Chinese and Asian pharmaceutical market. (9Colonne)
