Aug. 27 – Rosberg, Vettel and Alonso will not be the competing in Montmeló (Spain), at the Circuit de Catalunya, because from today until August 31 the Circuit is hosting the international round of the Formula SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers): single-seater open-wheel cars, entirely designed and built by university students. For Italy, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the Sapienza University of Rome, and the University of Bologna are competing. In recent days, the dean of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Angelo Oreste Andrisano, received the team Modena More Racing of the Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari,” and participated in a reception event alongside vice-dean Sergio Ferrari, the deputy director of the Engineering Department, Luigi Rovati, and Faculty Advisor Matteo Giacopini. The latter is currently in Montmeló with the team. “This meeting is not to wish them good luck – said the dean – It’s just a gesture to show these students that their university supports them and recognizes the work and time they put into developing the car. At the Silverstone competing, they performed well, and hopefully this will be repeated in Montmeló.”
