London – Books can bear witness to the union between Italy and eight other countries in the world: Britain, France, USA, Paraguay, Argentina, Montenegro, Greece, Hungary and India. How is it done? Thanks to a 15-city tour of 15 cities featuring internationally renowned authors, such as Valerio Massimo Manfredi, Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, and Paolo Mieli. The common thread that brings the different events together is water. The event was organized by the Water’s Friends Association, which aims to put at the center of Italy’s identity its geographical position as a peninsula that created a network of international relations via authors, books and cities. The events scheduled abroad for now will see Paolo Mieli in London on November 25; in March, Gian Arturo Ferrari (19-21) and Andrea Vitali (24-25) will be in Paris; in May, the event will be in New Delhi and Montenegro; in June it will be in Greece, and at the end of 2014, it will touch base in New York, Asuncion, Buenos Aires, Budapest and Kolkata.
