Nov. 3 – A full immersion in the culture of the Indian market, a constructive experience, a journey to explore, discuss, learn and grow: students from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Unimore) who attended the Summer School “India Immersion Program Amity University-Unimore” expressed great satisfaction for this new and unique learning experience, which gave them the opportunity to stay for three week in New Delhi. This was the first summer camp abroad promoted by the Emilia university: “There are two elements that inspired the program – said prof. Tiziano Bursi, Head of Program and and Professor of International Marketing at the Marco Biagi Department of Economics – on the one hand Unimore wanted to extend and articulate networks with universities and institutions active in the field of education and research in Asia, and particularly in India. The second reason comes from the fact that a growing number of Italian companies cater to the Indian market and are establishing a commercial and productive presence. The physical and cultural distance of the Indian market, its institutional structure, the differences and country-specific characteristics and business models, make the knowledge of the Indian market one of the basic success factors for foreign businesses. All of this brings back the human factor as a strategic resource for Italian companies and local authorities who try make it in India. The program involved 25 graduate students from different departments, who stayed at Amity University, one of the largest private universities recognized by the Government of India. The Unimore students were hosted in the New Delhi campus, which brings together all the teaching facilities, laboratories, facilities and student residences.
