London – “Grand’Italia” is a series of six documentaries written and directed by Franco Marcoaldi, six portraits of Italians who brought honor and prestige to Italy. Each portrait, enriched by the point of view of a friend, combines the personal experiences of the protagonist with that of the nation, showcasing their talents. The characters chosen by Franco Marcoaldi are: Toni Servillo with Peppe Servillo, Renzo Piano with Lia Piano, Altan with Stefano Benni, Giosetta Fioroni with Raffaele La Capria, Carlo Petrini with Beppe Rinaldi, and Eugenio Scalfari with Francesco Merlo. The documentaries will be featured on February 3 at the Italian Cultural Institute in London, where the journalist and writer will present the first three, dedicated to Renzo Piano, Altan and Roni Servillo.
