Kashagan – Saipem, through its Ersai Caspian Contractor Llc subsidiary, has been awarded a major new Engineering & Construction contract for the Kashagan field project in the Kazakh waters of the Caspian Sea. The overall value is about $1.8 billion. The North Caspian Operating Company awarded Saipem a contract for the construction of two pipelines, of 95 kilometers each, which will connect the D island in the Caspian Sea to the Karabatan ground system, in Kazakhstan.
