Valencia – From Game of Thrones to House of Cards, passing by True Detective and The Good Wife: TV shows are a very particular phenomenon that seem to be growing year after year, creating a new language that bridges television and cinema and brings about new ways of reading and influencing society. This and much more is the focus of “Series”, a new online magazine founded by the joint efforts of the University of Bologna and the Universitat Politècnica de València (Escola Politècnica Superior de Gandia). The first issue is available online, with a cover dedicated to Gomorrah, the successful Sky series inspired by the Roberto Saviano novel. Other articles look into famous TV shows like Twin Peaks and Buffy, as well as the Italian Romanzo Criminale and the Mexican El candidato. (9Colonne)
