June 11 – Tanzania recently completed the three-year project by the Center for Geotechnology (CGT) of the University of Siena to improve access to water resources for the rural population in the region of Iringa. A few days ago, CGT researchers presented the final evaluation of the project at the Ruaha Catholic University (Rucu). About four hundred people were present, including students and professors. The initiative, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was the first phase in the framework agreement signed between the Rucu and the CGT. “The CGT aims for – reads the online portal of the Center – the quality and finalization of scientific research and training, in cooperation with economic actors, businesses, and with national and international associations that want to the environment and strive for sustainable development.” (Red)
