July 1, 2015 – A strong and effective partnership, a fruitful and prestigious cooperation between Beijing and Pisa. China looks, in fact, to Italy for the training of its emergency operations and peacekeeping staff in difficult areas of the world (under the aegis of the United Nations). In particular, the Beijing government has partnered with the Sant’Anna University of Pisa, where on July 2 July 3 a delegation of the Republic of China is set to study forms of cooperation. The group will be welcomed by Professor Andrea de Guttry, director of Dirpolis (Law, Politics, Development) of Sant’Anna, Professor of International Law with a solid international experience. The Chinese delegation will be led by General Cui Zhikun, President of the People’s Armed Police Academy of the Ministry of Defense; with him Colonel Gao Zingmann (director of the Chinese National School of Peacekeeping Police). “The visit – said de Guttry – is a strong signal of recognition for the work carried out by the Sant’Anna and it is an attempt to further strengthen the already fruitful bilateral cooperation. Sant’Anna is ready to boost cooperation in place with Chinese colleagues, to make UN missions more effective and efficient.” (Red)
