Madrid – Six members of the Italian State Police and three Carabinieri will patrol this summer the major tourist areas of Madrid, Malaga, Ibiza and Formentera, while six other officers of the Cuerpo Nacional de Policía and three Spanish Civil Guards will travel to Italy, where they will patrol the cities of Rome, Florence, Venice and the Amalfi coast. The joint activities started in the summer of 2014 under the project “Comisarías Conjuntas”, and in view of the good results, it was decided to replicate it. All summer the Italian State Police will be present at tourist spots in Madrid (from yesterday to July 15), Malaga (from yesterday to 15 August) and Ibiza (August 16-31). For their part, the three Carabinieri will remain two months, from yesterday until August 31, in the islands of Ibiza (1) and Formentera (2). (9Colonne)
