Beirut – The commander of the Italian Bilateral Military Mission (MIBIL), Colonel Andrea Monti, was accompanied by his permanent staff to conduct series of visits at the main training institutes of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF). Monti and his staff, accompanied by ten. col. Hanna Lteif from the Training Directorate of the LAF, visited: the Navy School in Jounieh (the main institute for training naval officers and non-commissioned officers and crew required to work on warships of the Lebanese Navy); the Training School for Special Forces in Hamat (a center of excellence dedicated to the training of military units known as “Special Forces”); and finally the Training School in Arz (where courses are related to combat in a mountainous environment, including Ski and Search & Rescue).
