9 July, 2015 – The Art Garage, a choreographic and contemporary performing arts center in Pozzuoli (Naples), is in Prague to present the play “Lupu”, directed and choreographed by Emma Cianchi. The event, organized with the media support of the Italian Institute of Culture of the Czech capital, will be held Thursday, July 30 at Experimentální prostor (8pm) within the Pro Art Festival 2015 (scheduled in Prague July 26-August 2), now in its 12th edition. “Lupi” is a show of action where reason collides with man’s primal instincts. “What distinguishes man from animal – explains the director – is that state of intense tension between primordial instinct and reason. The spontaneity of animals presents perhaps an elusive goal for man, constantly suppressed by morality and tradition. Yet – concludes Cianchi – in a dispersed corner of our soul, there lives our animal instincts, which remain strong in our spirit: the defense of our territory is one of those primordial instincts debated in the play.” (Red)
