Bucharest – Enel Distribution Muntenia, a subsidiary of Enel, will replace 90 km of the electricity grid in various locations of the Ilfoy county in Bulgaria. The project, as reported by the Italian Trade Commission, is estimated to be completed by the end of this year, and is worth 9 million Lei (about €2 million). In some sections, the network is more than 40 years old, and this investment will increase the security of supply for consumers, while guaranteeing a 25% increase in consumption. In Romania, Enel has over 3,100 employees and 2.7 million customers in South Muntenia (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea, for a total of nearly a third of the local distribution energy market.
