September 14th, 2015 – To celebrate the French edition of the novel by Paolo Di Paolo “Mandami tanta vita” (published by Belfond), dedicated to the figure of Piero Gobetti, and the reprint of Gobetti’s publishing works, the Italian Institute of Culture in Brussels has organized a meeting. Entirely focused on the Turin-native intellectual, the event was entitled “Piero Gobetti: the publisher, the exile”. Scheduled for tomorrow at 7pm at the headquarters of the IIC, the meeting starts from Di Paolo’s novel, which evokes Gobetti’s exile in Paris to escape fascist persecution and looks to Gobetti’s reprinting, carried out by the Centro Studi Gobetti, the Comitato per le Edizioni Gobettiane and the Edizioni di Storia e Letteratura. These trace Gobetti’s editorial profile, revealing new elements from the biographical, intellectual and political points of view. Di Paolo will be a speaker alongside Ersilia Alessandrone Perona (Centro Studi Piero Gobetti, Turin), Antonio Bechelloni (Université de Lille) and Thea Rimini (Université Libre de Bruxelles). The initiative is organized by the Italian Institute of Culture in collaboration with the publishing house Belfond (Paris) and the publisher Edizioni di Storia e Letteratura di Roma.
