New York – ISTAT data on foreign trade confirm the positive trend of Italian exports: in July 2015 exports rose by 6.3% compared to July 2014, bringing to a 5.2% increase of Italian exports in the first seven months of 2015, compared to the same period of last year. “The result – said the Deputy Minister for Economic Development Carlo Calenda – is due in particular to the sales increase in the United States: in July, we recorded +22.9% compared to July 2014, confirming the trend of recent months, and convincing us to place the US market at the center of the government’s strategy to support Made in Italy.” Among the sectors that boast the best performance, there are vehicles, but also other sectors in the medium-high technology range, such as pharmaceuticals and electronics. “Considering the positive dynamics of imports in the first seven months of the year – continued the Deputy Minister – the trade balance amounts to €26.5 billion: a major achievement compared to that registered between January and July 2014.” (9colonne)
