Washington – The Richline Group begins its Italian mission tomorrow in Arezzo. The initiative is part of the US Special Plan for the Jewelry sector, established by the Ministry of Economic Development in 2015, which includes arrangements with Neiman Marcus and other major large retailers. The events tied to the initiative, still ongoing, brought Italian jewels on sale in 25 states and over 120 specialty stores and 80 companies. “The American jewelry market – said the President of the Italian Trade Agency Riccardo Monti – was, along with that of construction, the most affected by the 2007 financial crisis, and risked almost to become extinct, as sales stood at just $90 million, compared to an average of $700 million in previous years. The signs of recovery were there in 2012, in 2013 it reached the $700 million threshold again, and in 2014 sales were worth about $1 billion. On the basis of data collected in the first eight months of 2015, we can say that this year we are going to be doubling our sales.” The Richline Group of New York, importer of jewelry for more than 20 years, has recently set up an “Italian Jewelry” division.
