Maputo – The Italian Cooperation, in partnership with the Centre for Coordination of Gender Issues (Cecage) of Eduardo Mondlane University, under the Socio-economic Empowerment of Women Programme (Pesed), held in Maputo the “International Conference on Gender Equality and Empowerment”. The conference, held on 7-8 December, focused on “Women Entrepreneurs and Access to Credit” and had the goal of establishing an innovative agenda to increase women’s access to credit, resources and financial services and thus improve the socioeconomic situation of women entrepreneurs in Mozambique, increasing their employment opportunities and their participation in economic development and the promotion of gender equality.
