(3 February 2016) The Lombardy Region is ready to offer its experience in the organization of the Universal Exposition of Dubai 2020. The Vice President and Councilor for Social Housing, Expo and Entrepreneurial Internationalization, Fabrizio Sala, and the Councilor for Education, Training and Labor, Valentina Aprea are currantly in Dubai, taking part in a meeting with the Expo Dubai 2020 organizing committee, represented for the occasion by Emirates Airline President, Sheikh Ahmed. “We offered to share experiences, expertise and know-how and above all we want to open the way to Dubai in 2020 for Italian companies who worked at the Universal Exhibition in Milan and that can now make a valuable contribution,” explain the two Italians. Sala, in particular, wants to “bring our businesses, small, medium and large, here to Dubai to work in partnership with local realities”. Another idea is also to promote an “Expo of the regions” that would bring together “under the guidance of Lombardy, Europe’s major regions.” (Red)
