Berlin – After the Golden Bear to Gianfranco Rosi at the Berlin International Film Festival, another Italian film captures Germany’s attention. It’s ‘Still Life’ by Davide Gambino, former director student of the Experimental Cinematography Centre – Sicily. ‘Still Life’ is the only Italian film to have been selected alongside 15 other projects from around the world in the prestigious European cinema development network. Documentary Campus Berlin is a development program aimed at directors and producers selected every year for their upcoming films, which are then supported in their production for international markets. The program lasts 10 months, meaning that each project is closely monitored by key figures in the international audiovisual market, and is presented in 5 prestigious European festivals and events with industry operators. The first event will be the Marché du Film in Cannes, followed by Sheffield Doc Fest, the Limassol International Documentary Film Festival, DOK Leipzig, and finally Amsterdam’s IDFA Forum. (9Colonne)
