(8 April, 2016) The Model United Nations the biggest UN simulation in the world, reserved for university students, held every year in New York with the participation of more than 5,000 students from all over the world. In recent days, a group of students from the University of Siena has been protagonist of the MUN. A delegation of 19 took part, in fact, at the 2016 edition. The simulation of the work of the United Nations is held annually at the headquarters in New York. The project is part of the partnership with Consules, a non-profit organization that deals with international training programs and represents a huge opportunity for the internationalization of college students. All the Italian students, enrolling Law, Economics or Politic Sciences, are from the University of Siena, and after a week of work in various committees and agencies of the Organization they have been honored in the closing ceremony at the Glass Palace with the “Honourable Mention”, the award given to the delegations that most stood out for research accuracy, ability to build consensus and for the validity of legal documents produced.
