Geneva – Professor Riccardo Puglisi from University of Pavia, together with Jim Snyder from Harvard, just won the Hicks – Tinbergen award. This award is given every two years to the best paper published in the Journal of the American Economic Association , the leading European economics magazine and among the first in the world in terms of impact factor . The winning article is called “The Balanced US Press” and it concerns the political positioning of US newspapers and interest groups, estimated on the basis of endorsement deals on state-wide referendums. The award ceremony will take place during the Annual Congress of the European Economic Association, to be held in Geneva this 22 to 26 August . (9Colonne)
