Zagreb – A search on Palaeolithic sites that started thanks to European funding obtained as part of the Twinning of the Horizon 2020 program, is currently in progress and being conducted by two anthropologists and a geologist at the University of Pisa, in collaboration with archaeologists and archeogenetists from the University of Cambridge and the University of Zagreb. They will be conducting research on the historical and cultural heritage of this eastern region, which has not yet been fully explored, especially for what concerns Croatia. The project is named “Mend the Gap: Integration of Smart Genetics with Sciences of the Past in Croatia. Mending and Minding the Gap”, it will last three years and it was considered the first of 65 projects funded in all research fields and from all parts of the EU. (9Colonne)
