(April 15th, 2016) John Marino, Professor of Sociology of law and professional ethics in the Department of Law of the University Federico II of Naples, is vsiting this evening the Italian Institute of Culture in Buenos Aires (Marcelo T. de Alvear 1119). He will present his book “Law in the plays of Eduardo”: a journey – from “Napoli Millionaria” to “Filomena Marturano” – in the “human law” of Eduardo’s plays. The presentation will be an opportunity for discussion and debate among the professors of the University Federico II of Naples and teachers of the Italian Interuniversity Consortium for Argentina. Raging from philology, to art and passion, Marino looked for the law hidden in the work of Eduardo De Filippo, one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century Italian theater. His plays are set in Naples and its characters have now became real includes figures and characters who become real human types. The search bare good results, since Marino found a “human” law, that differs from the ”human rights” (Justice, equity). (Red)
