(May 12, 2016) The curtain falls at the Italian Cultural Institute in Lisbon for the documentary series “In the Michelangelo’s Footsteps” (by director Nino Criscenti), with the third and final round scheduled for Thursday May 19 at 18:30. Antonio Paolucci, director of the Vatican Museums will comment the final video in person, “Michelangelo Unknown. The frescoes in the Paolina Chapel”. Earlier projections of the series “In Michelangelo’s Footsteps” held March 17 and April 11 have enjoyed “a great appreciation among the large audience in the theatre that now awaits anxiously to be able to hear the voice of Paolucci describe the magnificent frescoes of the Paolina with the stories of the early apostles, Saints Peter and Paul- the statement was made at the widespread presentation of the event at the Italian Cultural Institute. Michelangelo’s was a suffered effort, one year after finishing the Last Judgement in the Sistine Chapel, he sets to work at 67 years of age working at a slow pace due to his ailments and impediments at the Paolina Chapel, his last pictorial work ending after almost ten years”.
