London – Until September 4 at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London the Gallarate Museum of Contemporary Art, in collaboration with the house Missoni, presents the exhibition “Missoni Art Colour” which explores the influence of European art of the 20th century in drawings by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni, and includes more than 40 paintings by European artists such as Gino Severini, Lucio Fontana, Benedetto Vedova and Sonia Delaunay. In addition to paintings from the Gallarate Museum and from private collections, many of which have never been displayed in public before, colorful tapestries, textile studies and models of dresses are presented. As pointed out by the director of the Fashion and Textile Museum in London, Celia Jocey, presenting the event with the attendance of the Italian ambassador in London Pasquale Terracciano, the exhibition is the first one that celebrates in such a large scale the iconic fashion house Missoni in the UK, thus highlighting the profound impact that this Italian brand continues to have worldwide.
