(7 September, 2016) Friuli Venezia Giulia and Kazakhstan are united by art. Almaty opens its doors to an exhibition with works of art from the Scuola Mosaicisti of Friuli (Mosaicist School of Friuli). The exhibition highlights the Institute in Spilimbergo’s international recognition and its importance for mosaic art. The Scuola Mosaicisti of Friuli continues to be the jewel in Friuli Venezia Giulia’s crown. Councilman for Culture, Gianni Torrenti will present at the exhibition opening on September 8 at the Villa dei Fiori of Almaty along with the President of the School, Alido Gerussi and the Italian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Stefano Ravagnan and the local authorities. The exhibition was curated in collaboration with the Fine Art School of Almaty. It will also travel to the National Museum of the capital, Astana, at the end of September.
