Dusseldorf – Puglia continues to climb positions in the ranking of wine exports: according to the most recent Unioncamere data, in the first nine months of 2016 exports grew by 18.2 percent, with a turnover over 84 million euro. The projections for the end of year are around 110 million euro. These figures confirm a continued growth over the past five years: it is no coincidence if the Apulian presence at ProWein in Düsseldorf until March 21 has risen to over a hundred companies in the 2017 edition, with 62 companies hosted on the Region and Unioncamere Puglia stand, where the protagonists are the three main indigenous grape varieties: Primitivo, Negroamaro and Nero di Troia. “ProWein – said the Regional Assessor for Agriculture, Leonardo di Gioia – is a unique opportunity for Apulian producers because it gives access to important markets.” (9colonne)
