(19 July 2017) After the success of Bellavita London in June, which saw a record number of retail buyers in retail, hotels, restaurant business, and catering and also saw some of the top Italian chefs such as Claudio Sadler and Niko Romito; the Made in Italy food and wine event platform is ready to launch in Toronto. Bellavita, in fact, has partnered with the industry’s most prominent trade show in Toronto, RC Show Canada. The new event, Bellavita Toronto, will take place from February 25-27, 2018 and will be added to the other 5 international stages dedicated to promoting the excellence of Made in Italy products: the National Restaurant Association Show (Chicago, 19-21 May 2018), Horecava (Amsterdam 8-10 January 2018), Abastur (Mexico City 29 August – 1 September 2017), WorldFood (Warsaw 10 -12 April 2018), Bellavita Expo (London, June 17-19, 2018). There are more than 182,500 members of the trade expected at these events, with a total potential purchasing power of € 5.8 billion. Bellavita also collaborated with The Food People, an international trend agency with clients such as Walmart, Asda, Marks and Spencer, Tesco, and Sainsburys. Over the last six months, the first study on Italian food and wine trends in Europe and the United States has been conducted. The 165-page report has been developed which has identified the trends over the next 5 years and what will be the most popular products on the market. The report was conducted with the support of over 1,000 international experts through the analysis of 30,000 specialised menus and journals. A preview was presented to the UK market last June at Bellavita London with the support of the best journals in the industry. (Red)
