June 23 – “Our reputation among our patients makes us proud because it is the tangible recognition that we deliver top quality drugs and services. Our patients are the center of our work and we do our best to keep them informed, aware and responsible.” This enthusiastic comment comes from Lucia Aleotti, president of the Menarini Group. The Italian pharmaceutical company ranked in the top 10 worldwide for customer care. In particular, Menarini is 37th of 19,042 companies for sales, but it’s 4th for its ability to put the patient and her needs first, and 6th for high quality of information provided to patients. The ranking was carried out by an independent study conducted on 800 patients from Patient View, a British organization that works closely with patient groups to make their voices heard. Patient View compiled the ranking of pharmaceutical companies that are more “patient friendly.” According to the results, which involved groups of patients with different pathologies in 43 countries around the world, Menarini is one of the top 10 pharma companies attentive to the needs of the patient, and it is also one of the three companies that distinguished themselves for scoring the highest progress in the overall standings over the previous year. Menarini took an 11 position leap forward, from 19th to 8th in the global ranking. Ranking higher, there are the big international pharma companies such as ViiV, Gilead, AbbVie, Pfizer, Janssen, Roche, and Eli Lilly. (Red)
