Buenos Aires – The preview at Buenos Aires’ Gaumont cinema in recent days was a huge success, which saw the participation of Italian Ambassador to Argentina Teresa Castaldo. The Ambassador presented a plan to re-launch Italian cinema in Argentina developed by Anica and the ICE Agency, and funded by the Ministry of Economic Development. In the coming months, Italian films will be distributed in commercial theaters across the South American country. The trailblazer movie is “Cinema Paradiso” by Giuseppe Tornatore in its director’s cut edition (which adds an hour of film to the original version), which has never been screened in Argentina before. Later in the year, “Buongiorno Papà” by Eduardo De Leo, “Sotto una buona stella” by Carlo Verdone, and “Il rosso e il blu” by Giuseppe Piccioni will also be screened. (9Colonne)
