Dec. 12 – After a long and prestigious research experience in the US and Canada, they are back in Italy thanks to the Ministry of Education “Rientro dei Cervelli” project and the “Rita Levi Montalcini” young researchers program. Serena Carra, Ciro Cecconi, Anna Cipriani and Giulia Curia were called by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, who offered them jobs as associate professors. “These calls – says the Dean Angelo O. Andrisano – are part of a strategy pursued by our university to act as a magnet for scholars who spent long periods of training and research abroad, and consequently are an important resource for the educational and scientific potential of our university. One of the goals of my mandate is to encourage the development of young and qualified researchers, and to promote an effective internationalization process. These new teachers have to their credit a prolific scientific production and strong connections with some of the leading foreign academic institutions and research centers. We hope these networks will be further cultivated with interesting and successful activities”.
