La Paz – The Italian Ambassador to Bolivia, Placido Vigo, accompanied by the Director of the La Paz UTL, Felice Longobardi, visited on March 11-12 the activities carried out in the Municipality of Potosi and Oruro within the FAO program “Integrated Agribusiness System Quinoa / Camelids, promotion of sustainable community-based family farming in the Bolivian Plateau”, funded by the Italian Cooperation Department. The program is implemented in 40 communities of the Municipality of Salinas de Garci Mendoza, in the Oruro Department, and the Municipality of Colcha K (Department of Potosi). The goal is to promote sustainable community-based family farming in the Bolivian Plateau of the Salar area, focusing on the farming of quinoa and camelids. (9Colonne)
