(Apr. 9) “I was born in Sardinia, and for how many addresses have changed in recent years, inside I never stopped to live there, dreaming of it as independent, in its true meaning.” Words of Michela Murgia, always attentive to the issues of identity and territory. Of roots and homeland the Sardinian writer will speak in Canada, in Montreal. On the occasion of the 17th edition of the Blue Metropolis Literary Festival – Les Pouvoir Des Mots (in Montreal, from April 20 to 26), the Italian Cultural Institute has promoted, in fact, her participation for a series of meetings with the public. The meetings will have as their main themes those of the territory and identity in the work of Michela Murgia who has never hidden a deep and visceral connection with the island, an inspiration of her works.
