June 5 – There is a strong Italian footprint in the French National Congress of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, which takes place in Nice today and tomorrow. The Société Francaise des Chirurgiens Estétiques Plasticiens (Sofcep) organized the 28th edition of the event in collaboration with its Italian counterpart, the Associazione italiana di Chirurgia plastica estetica (Aicpe).”It is an honor for us to contribute to the national congress of this prestigious society, one of the most important in the world – commented Aicpe President, Mario Pelle Ceravolo – I accepted with great pleasure the proposal of sharing good practices between Sofcep and Aicpe, and I thank my friend and President Charles Volpei for the invitation. We will be side by side with our French colleagues and friends in the common effort to advance our field.” The conference wants to be an occasion for plastic surgeons to exchange comments on French and Italian techniques, to understand what works best and how to proceed in difficult situations. The congress focuses on challenges, in all their forms. With this approach, we will address several technical innovations in key interventions, so as to understand their strengths and advantages. Italian and French surgeons will discuss, for example, how to approach facial rejuvenation, and especially neck, eyes, nose and breast augmentation. It is an important opportunity for the two societies to update and further increase in cosmetic surgery. This congress is a further international recognition for the Italian association, founded in 2011 thanks to a partnership with the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the largest cosmetic surgery association in the world, and with the International Society of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
